Wireless between buildings

Plan site, develop network, physically build an installation between buildings. Backhaul can be by your existing ISP provider. From 100m (cabled) to 5km (LOS). Assumes connection to a power source. Including installation and labour - Using public spectrum.

Local Wireless Hotspot ** (Suitable for Local Community Coverage in your street; your Village; your farm or business premises or local CBD)

Plan site, develop, physically build a site using 2.4ghz equipment - range is up to 150m from Hotspot site. Subscription to backhaul provider is independant of installation.

Plan site, develop network, physically build a solar powered or mains powered site. Backhaul and 180 degree horizontal area coverage 25km Line of Sight (LOS "Line Of Sight") range. Including installation and labour - Using public spectrum.

Mega Farm Repeater**

Mega Farm radio mast for local communities

Plan site, develop, physically build a solar powered site or mains powered, using 5.8ghz subscriber up to 25km from Terrain Repeater and 2.4ghz equipment to connect end clients 5km range from tower. Including installation and labour - Using public spectrum.

** If powered site is used then repeater costs will be significantly reduced by not using solar panels.

Community funded towers
Broadband Community Trust funds the building of a Terrain Repeater through variety of options:

Option 1
Pay for a Terrain Repeater through community grants. Need to form an Incorporated Society

Option 2
Community has debenture type scheme or each farm contributes a set amount towards construction of a Terrain Repeater as they get connected eg $500 excl GST (whatever is decided)

Option 3
Interest payments built into monthly fees to cover the cost of building the Terrain Repeater - eg Get 10 to 20 users who will sign up for each coverage area and each pays an additional interest payment for three years until tower is paid for.
