Dear Customer

Goods and Services Tax (GST) Payment changes

With effect from 01 October this year, the Government is increasing the Goods and Services Tax (GST) to 15%.

This will affect your October invoice as GST will increase by 2.5% in accordance with the legislation.

For all invoices dated 30 September 2010 or before, GST is 12.5%. All invoices dated 01 October 2010 and beyond will include GST at 15%.

If you pay your account by automatic payment please contact your bank to adjust the amount of your payment to include the additional 2.5%.

If you have already setup a Direct Debit authority you do not need to do anything as the new amount will come out of your nominated bank account.

Our special start up plan of $49.95 is the only plan which will stay the same until end November 2010.

Should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us at Masterton office 06 370 9210 or Belinda at accounts@wizbiz.net.nz

WIZwireless Limited is changing pricing of some services including the monthly plans

We will soon be implementing the new GST rate of 15% introduced by the Government. GST is currently 12.5%. This will affect your WIZwireless invoices from 1 October 2010.

What does this mean for you?
We have reviewed all our products and services and will be increasing most prices to reflect the change in GST.

  • If you are on one of our current broadband plans we may be rounding the price up or down to the nearest half dollar. This will keep our pricing simple and easy to understand.
  • Some older plans that you might be on but we no longer offer for re-sale will simply have the new GST rate applied to them.
  • Services provided excl GST will have the new GST rate added onto them from 1 October 2010.
  • Customers who have the rental equipment itemised on their invoice will have the new GST rate added to any invoices dated from 1 October 2010.
  • Some products and services will not have their advertised price changed. This includes our current introductory promotion which finishes at end November 2010 ie even though the GST will increase WIZwireless will pay the difference until end November as a way to support our new users.

NB: This applies only to new users in October and November 2010, who subscribe to the special introductory monthly fees and our "simple" installation deal. So why not join now and take advantage of this special introductory promotion.

What about other price changes?
In October we will also be making some price changes that are not related to the Government’s GST increase. Prices will increase for some services and packages as a result of inflation and rising costs over the last 12 months to March 2010. We will be contacting affected customers is our usual way.

When will these changes take effect?
The new pricing will apply to all bills from 1 October 2010. GST is applied at the time of invoices in accordance with GST laws.

Note that invoices:

  • Dated 1 October and onwards will include GST charged at the new rate of 15%.
  • Dated from 1 October for goods or services provided during September will use the new GST rate of 15%.
  • Dated up to 30 September will include the old GST rate of 12.5%.
  • Dated up to 30 September for goods or services provided during October 2010 will use the old GST rate of 12.5% until the date when the next invoice is generated then the GST will be 15%.
