Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) is available to any household in Wairarapa region that can get coverage through the Chorus network. As the development of the fibre network is still in progress, fibre services are not yet available to everyone. Add extra $23 per month for Business Plans

All subscriptions are for a minimum period of twelve (12) months. Early disconnection fee of $276 will apply within this period or balance of 12 month contract what ever is the less figure. Standard router supplied to be returned in good working condition or else will be charged on termination invoice. Other Terms and Conditions apply based on Chorus service.

** Speeds will vary depending on network traffic and network backhaul requirements at particular times of the day. All connections mentioned as up to speeds. Chorus service has CIR of 2.5Mbps for 100Mbps speed plan.

Each installation includes a wireless router suitable for 30/10MBps connection but if you have a big house or need a Gigabit router this is an additional $172.50 ($150 excl GST) Value is $241.50 ($210 excl GST) if purchased after installation has been completed. For voice services you need an additional voice adapter.

What happens if you can't get UFB but still want these speeds?
You can get an UFB connection terminated in our NOC in Masterton and we will use our WIZwireless network to deliver the connection to you via the DMR or over the upgraded existing network service. We can supply 30/10 meg or similar speeds over most of existing network with a simple upgrade to your existing radio equipment. There is always an option so inquire today!

If you're keen on connecting your business to fibre now or at some point in the future - it's important to consider a few things before you sign up.

Getting fibre to your home or business
If your property is multi tenanted or down a shared right of way, all of the affected property owners and leaseholders will need to give their permission before work can begin. Our Local Fibre Company Chorus will contact them on your behalf, but getting the all of the approvals may take time to complete.

Do you own or lease you premises?
If you lease your property, Chorus will need the owner's permission before they can start any work.

Each UFB request requires an on site visit then a proposal can be developed. Takes approx 6 weeks from receving the request to getting confirmation.
