If you live on one of the many rural properties in our Region and don't have internet or a phone landline or need faster broadband than you currently have, we may be able to deliver broadband internet to you using our wireless technology.
WIZwireless delivers broadband through the air, rather than through your phone line so you do need to "see" one of our many radio masts along the Eastern Hills or click here to get a guide of our coverage area.

If there is no wireless coverage you may be able to sign up to RBI instead. Up to 5Mbps in Vodafone mobile phone coverage area. So ring today to enquire.

Broadband Installation

* New data plans effective from 1 April 2014. Anyone on a a full speed FREEdom Plan paying $115 per month, will automatically be upgraded to the new speed of 5000/5000 kbps as long as your connection is on the WIZwireless newer network using Ubiquiti radio equipment otherwise this plan speed is 4500kbps/4500kbps. You may be able to crossgrade to the new network so inquire today. Fee is same as a new installation ie $199 plus travel. Conditions apply see below for more information. Speeds will vary depending on network traffic and network backhaul requirements at particular times of the day.

Note special installation deal is for all full speed plans and excludes Entry Plan. For Entry Plan subscriptions you have the option of spreading the installation fee of $373.75 over 12 months so this would be added to the monthly fee. The monthly fee would increase from $63.25 to $94.40.

Please note that there will also be travel contribution towards mileage costs. Mileage is $1.38/km.

The equipment and installation for broadband is subsidised to reduce your set up costs and because of that a $276 disconnection fee applies if you cancel your connection within 12 months. All supplied rental/ lease equipment has 12 month warranty. All prices listed include GST.

Line of Sight (LOS) check confirmed
As part of your registration we need to check for Line of Sight which is done with a series of office applications so we need to have an accurate physical address. This will give us 90% accuracy that there is LOS to one of our many radio masts. If we are unsure there is LOS due to trees or neighbouring buildings for example, then a physical LOS is required. We will schedule a visit for one of our technical installers to meet with you on site to discuss options. Value $172.50 contribution and the owner must be present to confirm that the "spot" is agreed. Any LOS revisit will need to be charged.

What happens if you go over your monthly data plan?
There will be a charge for data over usage - $17.25 GST/ 5GB - ie is equivalent to $3/GB excl GST or you can pre-purchase a bundle of 10GB data by ordering online - (NB data is rounded up to the next 5GB bundle as soon as you go over your chosen data plan)

Additional hardware: On the full speed plan choose one of the selected items as part of the special deal

Router options: (Wifi) (VoIP router)

UPS options:
We strongly encourage all installations to have an uninterrupted power supply device (UPS) due to power outages in rural areas which may damage the radio equipment value. If you ring for support and you don't have an UPS then we will request you purchase one please otherwise you may be charged for technical support and have to pay for any replacement equipment damaged by power outages. VoIP Service: (Wifi) (VoIP router)
All WIZwireless subscriptions get a FREE VoIP number from 2Talk who is our supplier. In your welcome pack is a routine to test the quality of the VoIP calls before you decide to use this service. Call WIZwireless office for more informaiton. WIZwireless VoIP service is over the wireless network and needs a power source to operate so is not to be seen as an emergency service. We encourage our customers to have an alternative communication device in these cases eg Mobile phone. This service needs an additional voice router as well as a wireless router plus a DECT or 1.8Ghz portable phone so it doesn't cause interference with the wireless router. All VoIP calls need minimum of 512kbps to work successfully.

iSky Partner
Unfortunately due to changes Sky Network have implemented iSky can no longer be data free for full speed data plan subscribers because their new provider (Akamai) won't supply the IP addresses it will be using. WIZwireless is still trying to work with Sky so our customers can continue to enjoy this service. WIZwireless was one of iSky partners and had a special deal on any of our current full speed plans ie 4000kbps and a monthly subscription plan of 5GB data plan or more, you will automatically be able to receive unmetered iSky data usage. New data plan - Now iSky free data offer has finished due to Sky service changes and their cancellation of the ISP service, we have increased your data plan from 60GB to 90GB, 150GB to 200GB and 400GB to 800GB. If you wish to continue to get free Media including TradeMe and stay on 60GB please contact the office before end August 2013.

All connections have CIR 256kbps or higher and MIR of 1000kbps or up to 8000kbps depending on data plan subscribed to and radio mast connecting to. We have recently upgraded to Ubiquiti Rocket Titaniums at Bennett's Hill and Woodside plus Te Kopi so customers off these sites using Nano radio equipment will be first to get the increased speeds. Bideford and Popoiti are next to be upgraded. .

Christmas period - office hours - the office will be closed from 20 December 2013 to 6th January 2014 - The WIZwireless office will be closed for a Christmas break for two and half weeks but there will be a technical engineer on call during this period as per normal support hours

Disconnection Fees or Termination of Subscription.
Disconnection fees apply if terminate within 12 months of signing contract $276. All radio equipment including the wireless router will remain the property of WIZwireless and we will replace the gear if a fault occurs with the unit or its a network issue, but if it's been damaged on the customer site this will be the customers cost and there will be a tech callout fee to access the fault. 1 month's fees will be charged when a disconnection is requested which covers the de-install of the radio equipment and return to WIZwireless. If you decide to keep the router this will be added to your final account - value $124.50
